The last couple of years have been a little different then I thought they would be. I am learning a lot about my relationships with (a few) people. It reminds me of this infamous, but worthy quote:

“It’s better to be quiet and look stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

One of the best things that a Brother in Christ shared with me a few months ago still hits me hard. He said, “I am doing my best, with God’s help, to not take myself too seriously”. Together, both of these quotes are helping to shape me these days. I apply it to my daily “jog” with Christ.

In all I say and do, it must put Christ first. Let Him shine through my humbleness, not me. Let Him be knoiwn when I make a move, not me. Yep, it’s a big job. But life is short, I remember that. My words can lead to injury. My actions can leave scars. My life could be meaningless, without God’s word leading the way. It’s His way, not mine. Praying for all who might be like me.

Maybe you can relate………..alas, maturity.
