Pondering the thoughts of others when it comes to me. Found this quote this morning. Maybe you can use it too!

Thomas Paine once wrote, “Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us.” The truth is that we can be so preoccupied with what other people think about us that we neglect the more important issue of our own character before God. If we’re living for our reputation, we’re bound to suffer as it suffers. If we put our relationship with God above our reputation, we will stay strong even if it happens to suffer. This led me to think:
1) How could MY reputation become something that I idolize?
2) Why is it foolish to preoccupy MYSELF with what others think about ME?
